The Most Valuable Hulk Comics
The original run of The Incredible Hulk was canceled after just six issues. But those first six comics are highly valued by collectors today, with an original highly graded Incredible Hulk #1 fetching prices as high as $490,000 at auction. Few of those original books exist, and fewer still are highly rated. But even a poorly rated Incredible Hulk #1 can get as much as $7,500 at auction.
The Incredible Hulk #2 isn’t worth quite as much. Despite offering the first appearance of the green Hulk we all know and love today, the highest sale for the second book in the series was only $47,000. Most second-issue books will sell for a couple hundred dollars, or maybe for a few thousand if they’re in sufficiently good condition.
Hulk would go on to join the Avengers and then would make a new debut in The Incredible Hulk #102, a rebrand of Tales to Astonish. The Incredible Hulk #102 isn’t nearly as valuable as Incredible Hulk #1 either. Its value ranges between $1 and $3200, depending on the grade and the buyer.
Even so, if you’ve found a stack of old Hulk comics in the estate of a loved one, or if you’re a onetime collector taking a long Hulk hiatus, the collection itself can add up to a considerable amount of money. Of course, that requires you to have the books appraised and sold at auction to collectors and enthusiasts. Much will depend on the grade and condition of each comic and whether you have completed collections or scattered issues.
