Tiffany Lamps & Stained Glass Auctions

We help people sell Tiffany handmade stained glass and lamps in the art nouveau style.  The iconic works of Louis Comfort Tiffany, dating back to the 1800s, are highly sought-after by collectors today. So are the pieces that came out of his studio, Tiffany Studios, which incorporated the work of other famous designers.

A genuine piece of Tiffany stained glass can be worth $595 to $45,000. A genuine Tiffany lamp can be worth anywhere from $4000 to over $1 million. The size and condition of the piece will influence the value, as will the complexity of the piece, as will its provenance.

Keep in mind there are many imitations on the market. Imitations may also carry some value. Some may even be worth a few thousand dollars.  But they won’t come close to an original Tiffany.

Signs you may own a genuine original Tiffany lamp

Look for a clear “Tiffany & Co. ” stamp, as well as a matching purity mark. Common marks include “Sterling,” “925”, “750,” and “950.” Specific designers might have added their signature, too.

Look for quality and clarity on each stamp. Look at the craftsmanship of the piece itself.

You’ll still need an expert to confirm the value of your piece, but those quick check-up items signs can help you triage your lamp or stained glass piece and whether it’s worth an assessment.
