Almost as famous as Al Capone is Eliot Ness, the Chicago Prohibition agent who brought him down. After appraising them on Antiques Roadshow, we had the honor of bringing some of Ness’s belongings to auction, and selling them for an amount that did the man and the legend justice.

The closing of this nearly 200-year-old Faneuil Hall restaurant was a sad day, but the resulting auction gave many people a chance to own a piece of history. In addition to coverage in The Globe, we were featured on the major Boston news channels.
